Dining out in either Nottingham, Cardiff, Bristol or Bath has just recently taken an upswing, and its thanks mainly to the good people at eatout.co.uk. They have many listings for restaurants all over the United Kingdom, but it’s the reviews area that got my attention, as well as offering reviews on where is best and where might not be, they also offer great deals on some of your favourite restaurants in a location that’s suitable for you, and that’s isn’t usually associated with cuisine, and fine dining.

The various towns and cities have a lot to offer the would-be diner or food lover, and they definitely have something to offer the most refined of palettes.

These are a just a few of the great eating offers for you just in the Bath area alone – The Thai Barn, The Hole In The Wall, The Walrus & Carpenter, and The Olive Tree. But that is not all of them, there are lots more to look at, so why not have a look for yourself – just type “restaurants bristol“, into Yahoo.com and I am sure you’ll find us.

EATOUT.CO.UK is run by foodies lovers and they practice what they preach. Visit their site and save yourself a lot of time and effort by finding the right place for your taste buds.

These days, organic food is supposed to be one of the answers to ensure better health. We all know that in order to stay healthy, a more balanced diet accompanied with regular exercise is essentially needed by our body. Having enough rest after that is necessary to keep us fresh enough to do the same cycle over again. Thus, choosing the organic food is believed by many people as the only way to achieve a better health.

No Contamination

Organic food is known to be grown on organic farms where the foods are grown under very strict control in which government formulated guidelines concerning how to grow such foods need to be followed. It also covers knowing how to grow the organic produce and to pack it up without in any way contaminating the organic food through use of any form of chemical or even pesticides.

Traditional foods are naturally grown in an surrounding full of chemicals. What is even more worrying is the fact that many of the chemicals used have not even been appropriately researched. It means that we don’t know what the effects of consuming such chemicals will be for our health. Thus, it is easy for us to see that by consuming organic food we are at least assured that we won’t be consuming any chemicals and therefore we won’t need to be worried about ill effects of being subjected to such substances.

As a matter of fact, when it deals with organic food such as meat and dairy products, these are sure to be free of any chemicals, which is definitely not the case when eating traditional dairy and meat products. You can be certain[/positive] that when it concerns organic food, farmers will also feed their livestock with nothing but organic feed that is sure to be free from chemicals or supplements. As a opportunity that you will be consuming any kind of chemically enhanced foods.

Organic food is also beneficial to the surrounding as a whole because even the ground in which such food is grown will not be harmed with the use of chemicals and as a result, the landscape will stay pure and uncontaminated.

Thus, if you are anxious about maintaining your health and thus commit to eat organic food, just be assured that by consuming such foods, at least your body does not receive unwanted doses of chemicals, insecticides and pesticides. In addition, the environment too will benefit immensely. As a result, deciding to consume organic food is definitely a responsible choice that will place you in excellent stead both for the near and the long term.

Want to know further about organic food? Let’s explore more on the links here and you will get much more about it.

For untrained artists the problem of seeing lies in the inconsistency that exists between the actual visual reality of an object and the way the brain attempts to represent our perception of this reality on the drawing paper. This attempt always involves the tendency to draw our symbolic preconception instead of the actual reality.

Symbolic preconceptions are part of a subconscious visual language that uses symbols to represent known objects. This language of symbols evolved as a mechanism to help us survive as a species. These symbols help us, for example, to instantly recognize food sources or dangerous predators.

When we view an unknown object our subconscious mind immediately tries to form a new symbol to represent and store the object in memory. Often beginning artists will more accurately draw unknown objects than familiar ones because they are not yet married to the new symbols.

However, when they try to draw the same object a second time, it is likely that a more symbolic picture will emerge because ready to use symbols have already been stored in the brain.

Consider, for example, the word “head”. Right away an image comes to mind which is symbolic for the head. Unfortunately, this symbol is only a schematic representation of a head and is invariably a gross simplification of a real head. Nevertheless, there is a strong subconscious pull to draw the symbol instead of what we actually see.

It is this conflict that artists must learn to overcome. This is particularly a problem for pencil portrait artists. When sketching a portrait the artist must resolve numerous layers of symbols to achieve a realistic effect.

We now will describe a very good exercise to learn to avoid the problem of symbol drawing.

We will be drawing from an upside-down photograph. This way our symbolic preconception of the head is disrupted. We will be forced to draw without our symbols. The result will be a purer drawing occurrence unfettered by a tainted perception.

As you draw the lines and block in the values you will feel quite awkward in your drawing. This is a good thing. Do not be overly concerned of how your drawing looks. This is an exercise in seeing.

When practicing line and tone this way, beginning artists often get better results than from the right-side up way. Trust yourself and throughout the exercise only look at your picture in the upside-down position even though it may feel quite uncomfortable.

You will learn to see and draw value as shapes and will be able to break down hard edges into short, straight lines instead of the usual symbols your brain will give to the nose, the ears, etc.

Thinking of and naming perceived objects will lead you down the garden path of almond shaped eyes, two holes for nostrils, a bunch of lines for hair, cauliflower ears and something that looks like the letter M sitting on a bowl for a mouth instead of what is actually there.

Artists will never be liberated of symbolic preconceptions. The symbols actually adapt and become more sophisticated. It is by constantly analyzing and abstracting form that we are able to draw realistically.

Guitar finger picking is an interesting alternative to strumming with a pick.

With a little practice it can be the basis for interesting and compelling solo pieces.

Using guitar finger picking it is much easier to skip strings, or to play non-adjacent strings at the same time, so there are advantages, even for new guitarists.

Basic Guitar Fingerpicking Technique

When you reach the more advanced levels there are a variety of finger styles but at the most basic level you follow the rules below.

You use you thumb to play the 3 bass strings of the guitar. The index finger is used to play the 3rd string, the middle finger is used to play the 2nd string and the ring finger is used to play the 1st string.

You would usually not use your pinkie finger. In general you would keep it as close to the ring finger as possible so it wouldn’t get in the way while you were playing.

Once you have your fingers in position over the correct strings it time to play a ffingerpicking pattern.

Let’s try with a D chord. Simply finger the D chord, pick the 4th string with you thumb then 3rd string, second string, 1st, 2nd 3rd.

Make sure to use the correct finger for each of the strings.

Once you are comfortable using each finger to strike the right string, try changing between chords playing the pattern above.
Remember to change the bass note each time. By playing around with picking arrangements, some really interesting parts can be created.

One of the easiest parts of still photography and model posing is that the subject probably is not going to move while you take its picture. One of the hardest parts is that the subject is not going to move, at least not without your help, while you take the picture. However, there are many other aspects of still photography that can affect the quality of the finished photograph.

Depending on the intended purpose of the picture, some of the variables that affect the outcome of the picture include lighting, shadows and the direction from which the picture is taken. The angle also plays a key role in the outcome and can change the dramatics of the picture drastically. While taking a picture of stationary objects may not seem exciting for many people, there are those who count on still photography to make a living.

Advertising is one of the top commercial outlets for still photography of Female Model and many use it to create photographs used in their home or business for decoration. Not everyone engaged in still photography is taking pictures of the proverbial bowl of fruit. Some are able to capture an expression of emotion or moods, deploying their expertise with lighting and shooting angles to present an everyday item in a unique way.

Still Life Lighting Sets The Mood

A person experienced in still photography of Model Talent can look at an everyday item, such as an open can of paint, and visualize different angles of lighting to create a dramatic approach to the subject. The finished print will not convey simply the image of a paint can, but can also incite the viewer to see the various color shades through lighting and the use of shadows. Mixing the picture with other outdoor views, an unpainted shed for instances, may invite the viewer to see the shed once it is painted.

Landscape still photography is another are people are able to create dramatic scenes for use as artwork for their walls. Simply shooting a picture of woods may not draw the attention or imagination, but shooting through the woods at a colorful setting sun can make an imaging impact. By shooting from ground level, towards the tops of the trees, can also make them appear taller than they really are and with a wide angle lens may make them appear to be bending over the photographer. This can add a really dramatic image to your picture.

For many, 2012 will be a year to remember because of the Mayan prophecy of 2012 end of the world. Today on the Internet, you will find many type of sites created about 2012 but it’s Hollywood that will make the money by exploiting the disaster angle.

Movies

The studios want to entertain us thus planned a lot of 2012 movies. In 2009, the major 2012 movie will be release.. After that, you should expect a stream of movies related to 2012.

I don’t mind it since we had the same kind of thing happened when the year 2000 was at our doors. Strangely, in 1999, only 2 major movies were about that on that year. All other movies about the year 2000 were made before that.

Television

Television studios don’t give a good chance this days for new TV series to get followers. On that note, they could start thinking in a limited TV series of 1 season with the last episode on December 21, 2012.

The 21 episodes series could start in Winter 2012(10 episode), stop for the Summer and restart in the Fall(11) to end in December 2012.It could have a rerun in the Summer to get new viewers and create momentum for the second part in the Fall.

If they have enough ideas, they could start in 2011 too.

The story

I’m using “person” since it could be a man or woman.

Even if the studio use a secret organization or aliens, both could use human experiments to see if they can control human behavior. It could be done with genetics, drugs, video or music. Of course, aliens have more powerful technologies and they could take the series a notch higher.

First Part: A person discover a conspiracy to take over the world by aliens or a secret organization. The person is framed for a terrorist attack by their agents thus can’t ask for the police help. A FBI task force is pursuing the person. On their way they must find proof, convince others and find allies.

Second Part: A resistance movement is started to help the person against the aliens or secret organization.

Examples of story lines:

  • A gang of biker are terrorizing a small town
  • The person take over a television station
  • The person find a 2012 cult
  • The person is arrested by a corrupt sheriff in a small town
  • People are getting missing on a stretch of highways
  • The person find a few pages of prophecies that was written 800 years ago to guide him
  • The person discover a drug that make people kill law enforcement officials

Conclusion

I’m sure that writers will have more ideas and that I will be surprise.

On December 22, 2012, they could release a Blu-Ray boxset with a few alternate endings and unrated episodes if it’s a big network who aired it. It would be on a Saturday.

Fun Stuff.  |

Moving is never fun. Moving with a pet is an absolute catastrophe. Unless of course, you can get someone to take your pet while you move. In my case, that wasn’t a choice. I first had to have a moving truck rental company. I had to move cross country and I could not do this devoid of one. It took me a long time to find one that met my needs. I looked on the Internet for cheap moving trucks and the results were too many. I ended up finding one after viewing a billboard that read, “truck rentals for moving”. I called the number and they had the lowest price and exactly the size of truck that I needed.

When the relocation began, I had to choose a place for my cat so she would not run away. I took her upstairs and closed her and her food and liter in my bedroom. That allowed me to move all the boxes and furniture from the downstairs into the truck. Now this was a move that I began on Friday and I was not thinking on leaving until early Sunday morning. So my cat had to live in my bedroom for almost two days. Having her food and liter in there was not something I very much liked. However, it was a thing that had to be done. If she would have stayed downstairs, she would have definitely got out and then I would have had to spend time looking for her.

After the downstairs was loaded, I had to then move my cat. I took her to the basement along with her food and liter. She remained down there until I moved the upper level to my house. The same process ensued. On Sunday morning the loading was done and I was ready to leave. The fun part was about to begin.

Four hours in a truck with my cat was not a fun experience. She cried for almost two hours. She was starting to get car sick and I could not handle it. I called my vet and she said I should be giving the cat the shot she had given me. She told me it was in the best interests of my cat if she was asleep. So I injected my cat and she went to sleep. I finally arrived and my cat was still asleep while I started to unload my stuff into my new home. It was not an easy move, but it was something that needed to be completed and I am relieved it is over with.

Low in fat pizza is clearly a very balanced meal because of all of the different ingredients, including proteins and vegetables that go to make up the food. Of course, like any food, if you eat too much of a good thing it can distort the vitamins and nutrients that your body needs.

The problem with most pizzas is that they are made from [poor quality|low quality|basic|average[/spin] ingredients, and have a high fat count in the dough and the sauce. Think about this for a second. Fast food submarine sandwiches have helped thousands of people lose a lot of weight so why would pizza be any different? In fact, pizza has less carbohydrates per ounce of food than a submarine sandwich.

The great thing about pizza is that by mixing up your toppings you can create a new meal every night. As long as you keep an open mind you would be amazed at the great combinations you can create.

You have to appreciate that you can to either make your own low-fat pizza, or if you’re lucky enough to live in a town with a high quality independent pizza place you may be able to buy an great low fat meal. The first thing to check with your local pizzeria is the quality of flour that they use to make their dough, and whether or not they add anything to your dough besides olive oil.

Having lived by the sea for much of my younger years I was drawn to the artwork of Rebecca Lardner as I walked by a gallery window. The lovely colours and soft oil colours provide an earthyness that makes you feel like a watcher peering out from your cosy home by the sea.

The artist Rebecca Lardners work is often set within the enfolding arms of a traditional harbour with constant activity moving in and out like the sea. Frequently you see walkers and gulls moving about their normal activities all adding character to the images. She began her career following completing an Art Foundation Course she graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA Honours degree in Illustration.

Following a very successful career as an artist and illustrator starting out making greeting cards. Rebecca Lardner now produces mostly original art works for magazines and record sleeves she has also done work for Paul McCartneys Music Academy. Inspired by Cornish artist Alfred Wallis her brilliant use of Oils on canvas pulls out the feeling of the coast.

Rebecca Lardner has carried out, sought after corporate commissions across the globe from Ireland to India. Rebecca Lardners work can be discovered in top calibre galleries across the UK, her evocative work being looked for all over the world. I personally like her paintings because of the character she places into each of the pictures, all of the colours work and the feel you get from her pictures are ones you want to keep going back to for another look.

If you considering a winter escape over these cold, wet months to get away from our short days and long nights, then you may be wanting to get away to somewhere with a bit of sun, sea views and probably neither too far away for travelling nor too costly.

An escape to some far flung tropical retrerat might be the preserve of the rich, but what can the rest of us mere mortals do for a winter sunshine break? Where is near by, sunny and pleasant to go to?

Well, in my opinion, the Canary Islands fit this description perfectly. The islands that make up this group usually have ideal weather all year around. Their climate is typically warm in the winter, whilst not always scorchingly hot in the summer, when some of the Mediterranean islands can become unbearable. And very few days of rain per year, within the tourist areas!

Tenerife is possibly the best well known of the Canary Islands and not only is it the biggest, but it is also the most populated of all of Spain’s islands. It is very easy for find Private Villas in Tenerife for hire and flights from the UK to the island are easy to book. It offers several tourist resorts, which include the ever popular Playa de las Americas, which is lively with plenty of night life opportunities. Other popular tourist destinations in Tenerife include Costa Adeje, Golf del Sur and Los Gigantes, home of the massive sheer cliff faces, dropping vertically into the Atlantic Ocean!

Another very popular destination within the Canary Islands is Lanzarote. Of all of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote is the one that is closest to mainland Africa and can be affected by a cooling wind at times. Although in summer, this can be very welcoming. In my experience, Lanzarote has been a bit cooler than Tenerife during the summer months.

As with Tenerife, there are plenty of Lanazrote Villas with private pools to choose from and book and with flights to the capital city of Arrecife taking around only four and a half hours from the UK, it is a excellent out of season destination. Two of its main resorts are Puerto Del Carmen and Costa Teguise, both pleasant resorts and neither too far from the airport. Costa Blanca is slightly further away, at a guess taking up to 30 to 45 minutes to get there from the airport. The entire island is a lot more compact than Tenerife and it is simple to drive around the whole island in a day, allowing time to stop off and enjoy various scenic spots.

If you are looking for a winter break and don’t want to travel too far from the UK, then the Canary Islands do make a good destination. Have a look at them and see which of the islands appeal to you.
